Amb. Willy Kipkorir Bett is the 14th High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya to the Republic of India having presented his Letters of Credence on 11th July, 2018 to His Excellency Shri Ram Nath Kovind, President of the Republic of India. Amb. Bett is also the High Commissioner-Designate to the Socialist Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka, the people’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Republic of Singapore. Amb. Bett has over 27 years of experience as a senior Bank Manager, Managing Director and senior government official.
Amb. Bett holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Sociology; and Master of Business Administration (MBA) marketing both from the University of Nairobi. He has also undergone several professional courses including in Banking, Market Research and prestigious Advanced Management Programme (AMP) jointly organized by Strathmore Business School (Nairobi), Lagos business School (Nigeria) and IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Marketing Society of Kenya and the Kenya Institute of Management.
Amb. Bett was born on 14th April, 1963 and is married to Mrs. Faith Bett. They are blessed with three children and two grandchildren.
