Introduction

Applications are now open for the World Diplomacy Forum & Award 2026, to be held on 27-28 June, 2026, in Toronto, Canada.

On this occasion, the World Diplomacy Forum (WDF) will present three prestigious honors โ€”  โ€œThe Diplomat Award 2024โ€,  โ€œThe Leader Award 2024โ€, “The Entrepreneur Award 2026โ€ , โ€œThe Banker Award 2026โ€ and โ€œThe Change Maker Award 2026โ€ โ€” to recognize and celebrate outstanding contributions in the fields of:

  • 1. Government-to-Government (G2G) Diplomacy & Innovations
  • 2. Soft Diplomacy and Public Diplomacy
  • 3. Regional and Corporate Diplomacy
  • 4. Youth-to-Youth Diplomacy and Entrepreneurship
  • 5. Parliamentary, Governance, Environmental, and Educational Diplomacy

  • The World Diplomacy Forum (WDF) is a not-for-profit organization based in Canada, dedicated to fostering global dialogue, cooperation, and understanding. Diplomacy remains at the heart of WDFโ€™s mission โ€” encouraging meaningful engagement among states, policymakers, and global leaders.
    The second edition of the World Diplomacy Forum & Award 2026 will bring together ambassadors, senior diplomats, young professionals, policymakers, social innovators, leaders, and academics for a powerful exchange of ideas, strategies, and collaboration toward global peace and sustainable progress.
  • WDF aims to serve as a dynamic platform that nurtures sustainable cooperation among governments, policymakers, leaders, media, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and academia โ€” shaping an inclusive and collaborative global future.

Objectives

The overall goal of the World Diplomacy Forum & Award 2026 is to unite ambassadors, young diplomats, policymakers, innovators, peacebuilders, and civil society leaders to share experiences and insights on pressing global diplomatic issues.
Specific Objectives:

  1. 1. Promote best practices and mutual learning in advocacy and diplomacy to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  2. 2. Explore innovative ideas in Track Two Diplomacy, encouraging advisory and productive roles in global policy-making.
  3. 3. Recognize ambassadors who enhance global peace through joint advocacy and diplomatic dialogue.
  4. 4. Share and expand perspectives on peace and democracy.
  5. 5. Foster innovation and mutual learning in diplomacy, identifying new approaches for effective global cooperation.
  6. 6. Provide participants with global visibility and networking opportunities before, during, and after the forum.
  7. 7. Support researchers and scholars in diplomacy and international relations, enhancing policymaking and practical application of knowledge.
  8. 8. Strengthen synergies between embassies, civil society organizations, and corporate sectors.
  9. 9. Build strong partnerships between corporate leaders and diplomatic missions to address pressing global challenges collaboratively.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. 1. The nominee must be a confirmed delegate of the World Diplomacy Forum & Award 2026.
  2. 2. Applicants with new or ongoing initiatives in diplomacy, leadership, or innovation are highly encouraged to apply.
  3. 3. Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in facilitating debate, developing resolutions for peace, and committing to positive global action.
  4. 4. Nominees must show a clear willingness to collaborate with World Diplomacy Forum in future initiatives.

Award Components:
Each award includes a trophy, certificate, and official recognition from the World Diplomacy Forum โ€” a symbolic token of appreciation for those creating meaningful, positive change in their communities and beyond.

Selection Process:

An independent selection committee appointed by the World Diplomacy Forum will review all applications.

Final award decisions will be based on the application, supporting materials, and external recommendations.

All decisions by the committee are final and binding.

Participation Fee

International delegate fee: $600 USD
Canadian citizen : $400 USD

The fee covers:

  • 1. Forum registration
  • 2. Lunch during the event
  • 3. Stationery, publications, and learning materials
    Please note: The fee does not include airfare, accommodation, visa fees, travel insurance, airport transfers, or dinner.
  • 4. If a visa application is not approved, USD $500 of the registration fee will be refunded.

Visa Information

International participants are responsible for obtaining their own Canadian visa. Please contact your nearest Canadian Embassy or Consulate for visa procedures. Acceptance to the World Diplomacy Forum & Award 2026 does not guarantee visa approval. Entry to Canada remains subject to the final discretion of Canadian immigration authorities.
